Home to one of the world's finest collections of modern and contemporary art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is itself a masterpiece. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and completed in 1959, the building is a New York City landmark, located on Fifth Avenue's magnificent "Museum Mile."

Walk along the grand ramp that curves from the ground up to the dome and discover extraordinary special exhibitions featuring important artists from the 19th century through the present. The permanent collection includes world-renowned artists such as Calder, Chagall, Kandinsky, Klee, Picasso, and van Gogh.

Discover masterworks by American artists and literary figures whose engagement with Asian culture inspired new forms, structures and meanings of art as transformational experience. 102 artists spanning 130 years are featured including James McNeill Whistler, Georgia O'Keeffe, Ezra Pound, Isamu Noguchi, Jackson Pollock, Robert Rauschenberg, Jack Kerouac, Laurie Anderson, and Bill Viola.

Note:
Children 12 years and younger are admitted free of charge. Baby strollers are permitted throughout the museum. Double-seated strollers, backpacks, and larger toddler carriers must be checked.
